In her programs Michelle answers these questions, and gives students a behind-the-scenes look (using Powerpoint, and exhibits) at the publication process, including research, revision, and working with illustrators and editors.
For Kindergarten, she shares Tyrannosaurus Math, and does a Q an A (Approx. 20 - 30 minutes).
For Grades 1 and 2, she shares how she created Tyrannosaurus Math, and stresses the importance of math for many careers. (45 minutes)
For Grades 3 through 6, she goes into depth about writing nonfiction, and the subjects of her biographies (45 minutes)
Upon request, she can adjust her presentations to emphasize writing topics that are being taught in the classroom,
and offer workshops in creative and/or informational writing.
A table, screen, LED projector with a cable that connects to a Mac (or that connects to a computer with flash drive availability), a microphone for large assemblies.
